Davcoís head office and manufacturing plant are located on the Gold Coast Queensland Australia. The very first roots were at Runaway Bay Marina, Gold Coast in 1980 manufacturing marine fabrications, masts and rigging. In 1986 Davco Winch Systems was formed specialising in Davits and Cranes. The innovative designs of the davits and cranes by the then founder Jim Lomax a respected sailor and marine engineer are patented in the U.S.A., Japan and Australia.

The company now is in a new development stage with the recent acquisition of it by Telstar Group Holdings. The principals John Geros and Tim Puckey bring with them a family heritage in the marine industry dating over 100 years.
